>sudo: immerse is a 2 day team hackathon challenge, held in one of the leading innovation centres in the UK, supported by world leading tech with big prizes to be won.

Hackers will work in teams to come up with solutions to real world problems which impact on people, planet or place. As the next instalment of Allia Serious Impact challenge weekends, participants work in teams and given the chance to use a range of mixed reality equipment with the aim of solving a range of challenges, revealed at the beginning of the weekend for a chance to win!

Elodie Draperi
is the Co-founder & Partnerships Director at GiveVision, which is currently developing a software that powers any head-Our latest prototype, SightPlus, is a Sight Enhancement Kit combining VR and AR to help partially sighted people to see better.

Amandine Flachs
has been involved in Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality for over four years. She supports diversity in Immersive Tech through Unfold UK. She is fascinated by Emerging Technologies including VR, AR, AI, ML, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies / Crypto Miner keeping an eye on the market cap. She recently built her first VR experience, took a coding course and used a ML API for a web based project.

Mark Moore
is the Co-Founder of Azuba, a real-time architectural visualisation studio focused on creating VR experiences. Using an interactive environment able to change materials and decorations on the fly, AZUBA can help visualise new homes, offices and other potential spaces before they're even built.
FAQs
Will you provide food and drink?
Yes! We will provide breakfast and lunch on both days, and dinner on the Saturday, as well as snacks and drinks all day.
But I have a dietary requirement…
No worries! We will try and accommodate everyone. If you have a requirement, send through an email to ops@cambridgeapplied.co.uk and we will prepare accordingly!
What equipment should I bring?
You will need your own laptop to participate in the event. Don’t forget your charger!
Is it an overnight event?
Unfortunately we cannot offer overnight accommodation. Let us know if you need help finding a place to stay! We will be clearing out the venue after dinner, by 10pm, before opening doors again at 8:30 the next morning.
Who can participate?
Anyone with an interest in our theme! This includes coders, designers, developers, business and marketing people, ideators, mentors, and observers. Like most hackathons, participants must be 18 years of age or older.
How big can a team be?
We recommend 4 people per team as the best size. No more than 6, please! We will help you form a team at the event if you are coming solo.
WHY > SUDO?
In the command line, sudo allows users to run programs with the security privileges of the superuser. We want to provide the environment for you to create, innovate and make impact with access to resources you wouldn't usually have access to.

Our Serious Impact Challenge Weekends aren’t just a chance to form new peer groups among tech leaders in smart-cities, agri tech, clean-tech, and health sectors, you’ll also become immersed in identifying impact solutions to a pressing social or environmental challenge that could find an immediate route to market.
THE WEEKEND
We will set you a series of challenges on Saturday morning, to which you will build a solution, be it a live demo, prototype, or convincing pitch.
Sunday you will develop your idea and prepare to demonstrate your idea to a panel of judges for a chance to be crowned >sudo : immerse challenge winner!
